Trump 'would have loved' to see Greta speak at Davos

U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking at a news conference in Davos, Switzerland, said that Swedish climate change activist Greta Thunberg "ought to focus" on "other countries" instead of the "clean and beautiful" U.S.

"We are doing better right now than we've ever done in terms of cleanliness, in terms of numbers,'' he added.

Trump also said he would ''have loved to'' have seen the teenage activist speak at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, but did not.

''She beat me out on Time magazine,'' he commented at the press briefing held just before his departure from the Swiss ski resort on Wednesday (January 22) - a reference to her winning the Time 'Person of the Year' award.
