Winston county coroner scott gregory says that the victim's name is brandon foster.

He was twenty -one years old.

Earlier todaya machine called a core chipper exploded inside the plant and a huge piece of metal hit him in the head.

Gregory also said its the worst head trauma accident he has seen in an industrial setting in his career as coroner.

He told me by phone this afternoon that the core chipper exploded for some reason hurling large pieces metal near where the victim was working.

He did say that foster was a chipper operator .

I talked to another worker from the plant who did not want to be identified.

He told me management shut the plant down around 12:30 this afternoon.

They are not sure when the facility will be back open again.

You may recall that a tornado leveled the winston plywood and veneer plant here in louisville back in 2014.
