My co-anchor ryan eldredge sits down with republican delegate chris adams to talk about gun legislation, school safety and the budget.

:24 - first question is - how are things going how has this session been for.

I'm often reminded how lucky we are to have governor larry hogan - 90 percent of what we do is in a bipartisan fashion - articulating what's important for the eastern shore is the biggest thing i do and i need to do it in a productive manner.

Cut at :54 resume at 2:54 - one of the things happening countrywide is the controversy and talk about firearms safety and regulation - where do you fall on that and how do you feel about bills proposed moving forward.

Nra members sent me letters and they do not want rights violated but we need to do better with mental health - take care of things manifesting throughout the country and the state - no gun rights groups opposed one legislation - we came forward and supported it - we are working with the senate to make that bill a workable bill and i would share to you that our vote is not the last one - bump stocks are not a firearm and the nra's position - they believe they should be subject to regulation - that's what the bump stock doees - generally we are on the right side of this issue - we want a safe environment and community and listen to citizens - how i'm articulating in real policy.

There's never only one chance at these issues - it takes two bodies and governor and usually it's positive when we do things right.
