Eugene Scalia Approved By Senate For Labor Secretary

The Senate approved Eugene Scalia for Labor Secretary in a vote 53-44.

According to Politico, Scalia is the son of the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.

Eugene was chosen by President Donald Trump after Alexander Acosta resigned from his post.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Scalia nomination was β€œa slap to the face of labor.” Schumer said Scalia consistently sided with β€œlarge corporate interest against the working people.”
