Protesters Sing as They Stage Another Sit-In at Hong Kong Airport

Protesters held a sit-in held for the second straight day at Hong Kong International Airport on Saturday, August 10, as part of ongoing protests against the government.

This footage shows protesters singing โ€œDo You Hear The People Singโ€ from the musical Les Miserables.

The South China Morning Post reported that police had described the protest as an โ€œillegal gatheringโ€ and urged those attending to stay peaceful.

Other demonstrations were planned across the weekend, which has now witnessed widespread protests for 10 weeks.

Anti-government protests that began in opposition to a now-shelved extradition bill but have continued in the face of criticism from both local authorities and Beijing.
