Here's your morning news now... president trump continued attacks on four congresswomen at a rally in north carolina last night.

He suggested the women are hate- filled extremists and said they should leave the country.

Three out of the four women known as the squad' were born in the united states... and all are u-s citizens.

Meanwhile ... the house voted last night to block a resolution to impeach president trump.

Texas democrat al green forced the vote by introducing an impeachment resolution.

It was overwhelmingly voted down ..

As most democratic leaders prefer to wait on impeachment.

In world news this morning ... japanese fire officials say 13 people are confirmed dead and 10 people are presumed dead after a suspected arson at a popular animation studio.

36 others are injured ... some critically.

A man is suspected of starting the fire this morning after running into the building and dousing it in gasoline.

He is among the injured in a hospital.

Protests continue in puerto rico as demonstrators call for governor ricardo rossello to resign.

This comes after a leak of the governor's private online chats that show homophobic and mysogynistic remarks .... often aimed at reporters, celebrities, and fellow politicians.

Rossello says he's not going anywhere.

Closer to home ... a heat wave is hitting the u-s ... affecting many central and eastern states.

Temperatures will be at dangerous levels ... and many areas might break records.

Public health officials are warning people to stay hydrated and locate cooling centers if needed.

School districts in the green bay and appleton areas are canceling summer classes today and friday.

((ad lib weather)) in wisconsin ... governor evers signed a bill that many hope will ease the lives of deaf and hard- of- hearing residents.

The bill strengthens the rules for interpreter licensing and requires state health department approval for exam licenses.

The law also allows interpreters to train in places like emergency rooms, court rooms, and mental health facilities.

In la crosse ... parks and rec officials are asking people to be considerate at city beaches.

This is the first summer that beaches don't have lifeguards posted ... and they say littering is a growing problem.

The fine for littering in the city of la crosse is 124 dollars .... and alcohol is not allowed on beaches.

"that was kind of my plan, to kind of go incognito.

The way it turned out, it worked out too, and it's been, really a complete blessing."

In chance the snapper news' .... the man who caught the famous alligator was invited to flip the switch on buckingham fountain.

This is just another stop on his victory tour.

He also got to throw the first pitch at a cubs game on tuesday night.

Happening today in riverside park -- another moon tunes'!

Music tonight will be from the british invasion' in the 19-60's... as well as a tribute to buddy holly.

The concert starts at five-30.

Any delay or cancelations because of weather will be posted on the moon tunes la crosse' facebook page.

Storms will linger this morning through about 9am or so, then much of the day will be dry... but hot and humid with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.

Heat indices could climb into the 95-105f range.

More storms are a good bet late today, more likely this evening and tonight.

Lows tonight will only drop into the mid 70s.

Some of the storms could be strong with heavy rain once again.

Hot and humid friday with highs in the mid 90s.

Heat indices could rise into the 100-105f range, even 110f far south.

More storms are possible friday night.
