Los Angeles' newest pop-up museum, World of Fruit, celebrates all things fruity, with eight interactive installations.

From a room filled with giant pink-spotted banana segments to another with watermelon-themed swings and seesaws, visitors have been going bananas over the new pop-up museum, World of Fruit.

"A lot of art installations aren't interactive, so it's definitely fun to be able to touch everything, feel everything," said Kyra Nguyen, 20, a student from Los Angeles.

Nguyen later posted a photograph to her Instagram social media account of herself lying in a dragon fruit ball pit, something many of the visitors do, according to founder Andrew Zhou.

"This is an experience built for Instagram, for social media, getting cool photos, so I love seeing all the influencers come in, all the people my age coming in and getting great photos," Zhou said.

"But my favorite part, for me, is actually seeing the kids have fun," he added.

Visitors are also invited to try various fresh, exotic fruits at tasting stations throughout the exhibition.

Zhou said the museum partners with local nonprofit organizations, donating a portion of all ticket sales toward providing fruit and food for people in need.

World of Fruit is open in Hollywood through July.

Zhou hopes eventually to bring the experience to other U.S. cities.
