Florence won out over the USA's Kolohe Andino to retain his position at the top of the World Surfing League rankings, moving further ahead of second-placed Andino and closer to a third WSL championship.

Peterson made up for a slow start to her WSL campaign with victory over Brazil's Tatiana Weston-Webb and is now sixth in the rankings after four stops of the 10-leg championship tour.
