"We're going to be recreating six of the most dynamic African American artist that were on the red carpet and they all won Oscars," said Messeroux.

For seven-year-old Nia Madison, who dressed up as Black Panther set designer, Hannah Bleacher, being a part of the shoot was reward: "I am happy and proud." Young Spike Lee was portrayed by seven-year-old Hudson who liked his outfit: "I like the tie and the jacket and pretty much the rings too." However, Caiden, who embodied two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali, was meet with some challenges during the shoot: "When they take the pictures, the flash hurts my eyes." Toddlewood has been recreating pint-sized celebrity red carpet looks for nearly 10 years.
