Roma Director Alfonso Cuarón Thanks Academy 'For Recognizing Film Centered Around Immigrant Woman'

Alfonso Cuarón has won the Oscar for best director at the 91st Academy Awards for the film Roma, becoming the fifth Mexican best director winner in six years.

He thanked the Academy “for recognizing a film centered around an indigenous woman – one of the 70 million people around the world without workers’ rights."
