Red Wolves May Be Brought Back To A Reasonable Pop W/ Wild Dog DNA

The red wolf, a wild canine native in the US, has teetered on the brink of extinction for decades.

Animal Activists started a captive breeding program started in the 1970s, but to no avail.

Only 40 red wolves are known to be still living in the wild today.

Fortunately, scientists found out a population of wild dogs inTexas carry the red wolf genes.

This could help them breed red wolves back to a reasonable population.
