Hong Kong airport reopens, official China newspaper urges end to violence

Hong Kong's airport resumed operations on Wednesday, rescheduling hundreds of flights that had been disrupted over the past two days as protesters clashed with riot police in a deepening crisis in the Chinese-controlled city.

Protests have overcome Hong Kong, shutting down the international airport and affecting peopleโ€™s flights. While the airport reopened the day after, its administrator warned flight movements would still be affected. According to Reuters, China said the protests have begun to show โ€œsprouts of terrorism.โ€ The country said โ€œprotesters have been frequently using extremely dangerous tools to attack the police.
